Dairy Reports

A very busy day in the dairy section saw a top of £1810 for an Ayrshire second calver in the commercials and £2020 within the herd dispersal.

Yet again an unpredictable trade saw a top price of £1910 for a Monument Impression daughter shown by Andrew Weston of Litton. The heifer Galastar Impression Rebecca was sold giving 30kg and went to local purchaser Andrew Hulme of Basford.

Another very busy day within the dairy section saw 65 commercial milkers forward together with the British Friesian herd dispersal on behalf of Dick Barker of Lichfield making a total of 166 head passing through the ring with a 100% clearance.

Another nice entry of milkers today saw both heifers and cows peak at £1930.

The shed was packed to the rafters with dairies on Tuesday with 65 commercial milkers forward along with 16 in-calf heifers, a small group of youngstock and a 32 head herd dispersal.
