Dairy Reports

More fresh milk is needed to satisfy demand! Please get in touch if you have cows to sell!

Although quality was distinctly lacking in the monthly pedigree sale this month the best sold exceptionally well with the best heifer just short of £2200 with numerous others £1900-£2000.

Another busy day in the dairy shed on Tuesday which included the herd dispersal on behalf of Blaze Farm Partners, saw a trade top at £1740.

A lovely entry forward today which included the youngstock dispersal on behalf of Jim Furness of Bakewell met a swift trade with the 80 head of youngstock averaged a superb £734.

Undeterred by the supposed "beast from the east" the herd dispersal went ahead as planned at Leek on Tuesday and thanks must be expressed to all that made it happen.
