A 635kg Hereford topped the barren section today for Roy Sant of Endon, selling to 285p/kg to gross £1809.75 with a second Hereford weighing 760kg selling to 277p/kg to gross £2105.20 for D & V Farms of Rushton Spencer.
A British Blue cow was the top price per head, weighing 870kg she sold to 272p/kg to gross £2366.40 for W J Braddock of Hulme.

A Limousin heifer topped the clean section today at 360p/kg to gross £2322 for AM & JE Kirby of Rutland and a Holstein heifer sold to 298p/kg to gross £1802 for P F Hulse of Consall.
Overall average for clean cattle was 329.99/kg.

A nice entry forward on Tuesday saw the best heifer to £3050 from David Brailsford of Chesterfield with others to £2750 and £2600.
