
The Spring Lamb Show & Sale was well attended and kindly judged by Rob Mollatt of Mollatts Farm Butchery, Ipstones, seeing the Champion reach £10/kg. Hoggs sold to 503p/kg with a top headage price of £247 with ewes to £320.
A first for Leek, Calves reached £1,000 for a Blue Bull, with Blue heifers to £695.
Barrens topped at 264p/kg or £1808.40/head and clean topped at 335p/kg or £2168.05 for a Friesian bull.
Pigs sold to 240p/kg, topping at £245/head.
Dairies topped at £2920 for a lovely heifer.

DAIRIES TO £2920
A very strong trade for milkers on Tuesday saw a lovely heifer from the Kennerley family reach £2920 with another from the Wayne family of Ible to £2780. The Bennett family saw their heifer reach £2460.
Cows topped at £2400 also from Messrs Wayne.

A nice entry of Spring Lambs forward for the annual Easter Show & Sale which saw excellent quality and excellent demand.
