163 Pigs on offer today seeing a strong trade throughout, Fats topped at 239p/kg for MC & E Beattie.
108 Dairies saw a good trade for the quality on offer, a special entry of In-Calf Heifers from the Sigley Family of Consall topped at £1960.
118 Calves with some very good calves on offer which led to a cracking trade throughout.

Top price was 164p/kg for a non-Farm Assured.Hereford cow weighing 755kg from Hambleton Bros of Stoke-on-Trent.
A Holstein cow weighing 730kg from Messrs Maydew of Consall sold for 159p/kg.

A small entry but plenty of demand for those on offer.
Top price was 224p/kg for a 590kg Limousin Steer from TJ Partington of Burton-on-Trent with a £570kg Aberdeen Angus Heifer from the same vendor achieving 216p/kg.
A 725kg British Blue Steer from PJ & J Tomlinson of Burton-on-Trent achieved 199p/kg with a 490kg Norwegian Red Heifer for HJ Whitfield being well sold at 180p/kg.
Top Headage price was £1442.75 for the British Blue Steer and £1321.60 for the Limousin Steer.

A bumper entry of 163 pigs saw a strong trade throughout. Fats topped at 239p/kg, more sows today topped at 120p.
Porkers topped at 222p from R Brough. RA Hughes topped at 210p. a few plainer coloured sorts to 100p.
Cutting pigs to 234p from J&B Fentem, others from the same home to 233p, 231p and 229p. R A Hughes to 228p.
Baconers topped at 239p from MC&E Beattie who had others to 238p x3. Massie Farms, 234p x3, 233p x2, JG Belfield had pigs o 234p.
Heavies topped at 216p from MC&E Beattie. R Rowlinson topped at 215p. Plainer sorts 125-175p.
Sows topped at 120p from R Rowlinson. Leaner sorts to 87p, 85p and 80p.

TOP OF £1960
A good trade for the quality forward saw the best commercial milkers to £1920 for a fresh heifer giving 29kg from the Broadley family of New Haven. Close behind at £1900 was another heifer from Messrs Bennett.
Cows topped at £1900 for a second calver from the Gregory family of Drointon.
The special entry of In-calf heifers and youngstock from the Sigley family of Consall topped at £1960 for an Haste daughter due in September with others to £1880 and £1800. Bulling heifers topped at £910.
Next week we have the Herd Dispersal on behalf of the Bentely family of Marsh Gibbon, Bicester. True Holstein Friesians with a summer calving bias so plenty of fresh milk.

Commercial Lambs generally 240-250p/kg and looking well sold compared to other outlets.
