There was a total of 415 Store and Breeding cattle on offer, selling on a fast trade to a good compliment of buyers.
Breeding Section
A Hereford cow with a Limousin x Heifer calf sold to £2340 for E J Morris & Son of Alsager, who also had a Limousin cow with a Limousin Heifer calf achieving £2250 and another Hereford cow with a Limousin x Heifer calf selling to £1970.
M Winterbotham of Chinley had a Saler cow with a Lincoln Red x male calf selling to £2300 with another similar outfit achieving £2220 from the same vendor.
A Simmental suckler cow sold to £1850 for A Webster of Bascote who also achieved £1120 for a Friesian suckler cow.
Stock Bulls
A 34-month-old British Blue Bull from K Goldstraw of Wetley Rocks sold to a very pleasing £4700.

Young Bulls
There were 48 young bulls on offer, seeing a top price of £1650 for a Simmental for A Hedges of Ashbourne.
A Shorthorn bull at 14 months old sold to £1620 for J & R Potts of Macclesfield who also had another Shorthorn bull at 7 months old achieve £1010.
A pair of Charolais bulls at 11 months old sold to £1380 for J A Clowes & Sons of Cubley who also had a bunch of three Charolais to £1150. A Friesian bull sold to £1280 for J & W Knight of Horton.
Steers
There were 231 steers on offer with a 14-month-old Limousin topping the day at £2360 for RG & AS Williamson of Wetley Rocks with another 14-month-old Limousin selling to £2160 for the same vendor.
British Blue steers at 21 months topped at £2280 for IE, M & A Wilson of Hollington who also had a bunch of three British Blue at 24 months old achieve £1980, and another four at 21 – 25 months old to £1950. A 21-month-old British Blue from P B Wain of Gawsworth achieved £2220.
A pair of Hereford steers at 24 months old sold to £2180 for H M Deville &Son of Doveridge and a bunch of five Herford steers at 26 months old sold to £2000 for T E H Bold & Sons of Cotton who also had another bunch of six at 25 months of age to £1900.
Simmental steers at 26 months old sold to £2040 for T E H Bold & Sons of Cotton.
A bunch of four Aberdeen Angus steers at 26 months old sold to £1990 for P B Wain of Gawsworth and a 29-month-old Aberdeen Angus sold to £1830 for P W Massey of Snelson.
A 23-month-old Montbeliarde steer sold to £1960 for D & M J Worthington of Nether Alderley who also had a 23month old Shorthorn to £1810.
A 24-month-old Charolais steer sold to £1870 for IE, M & A Wilson of Hollington.
Dairy Shorthorn at 24 months old sold to £1580 for R C Salt of Waterhouses.
A pair of 23-month-old Saler sold to £1385 for D & A Dickinson Ltd of Bradbourne.
Younger cattle sold to £1850 for a 13-month-old Limousin for RG & AS Williamson of Wetley Rocks with a 10-month-old Limousin achieving £1550 for N M Hammersley of Stafford and a pair of 11-month-old Limousin achieved £1500 for P J Simpson of Winkhill.
A Pair of 13-month-old Herefords sold to £1560 for D Jackson & Miss K Alcock of Cellarhead. Shorthorn at 11 months old sold to £1500 for J & R Potts of Macclesfield.
The overall average for steers was a very pleasing £1352.26.
Heifers
A 29-month-old Aberdeen Angus topped the heifers at £2370 for P W Massey of Snelson.
A pair of Limousin achieved £2210 at 33 months old for C A Lymer of Cheddleton and RG & AS Williamson of Wetley Rocks had a very good run of eight Limousin at 14 – 15 months old selling to £2060 for a pair, £1990 for a single, £1950 for another pair, £1850 for a single and £1840 for another pair.
D & D Gould of Waterhouses sold a 19-month-old British Blue to £1810 with a pair of British Blue at 21 months old selling to £1800 for S & J Ryder and another pair at 15 months old achieving £1790 for D Machin of Rudyard.
A pair of Hereford heifers at 24 months old sold to £1800 for J & W Knight of Horton.
In the younger cattle, a 13-month-old Simmental sold to £1790 for D Machin of Rudyard who had another at 13 months old achieve £1540.
The overall average in the Heifers was once again a pleasing £1306.90
