2,463 Store Lambs and Breeding Sheep
A reduced entry due to the inclement weather but those who were able to attend and bring their sheep were well rewarded.

Store Lambs averaged £116.29 per head including a high number of small long term lambs with all vendors being very pleased.
Top price for lambs was £160.50 for Beltex lambs from Martin Lancaster of Congleton with other Beltex from the same home at £146.00.
Texel lambs from Sue Henshaw of Fairfield topped at £159.00 with other Texel’s from David Goldstraw of Meerbrook at £150.00 and £149.00 from B & K Stevenson of Quarndon.

Breeding Sheep
Texel ewe lambs sold up to £142 from S Rushton, Freeway.
Mule correct ewes scanned for twins sold up to £300 from E Vaughan of Newcastle (twice) and £285 for others from the same vendor being scanned for half twins and half singles.
Texel ewes of flock ages from the Estate of John Lockett of Heaton, having run with the ram achieved up to £270 with older ewes at £220.
Mixed aged ewes clear of the ram from Hobsons farm of Flagg topped at £225 and £220 for Texel ewes.
