Shearlings rams sold up to £680 for a Texel from L Hadfield & Sons, Peak Forest who sold other Texels at £650, £620, £600, £580, £540 x3 & £520 x2. Other Texels sold to £600 three times for Will & Jackie Forrester, Whitchurch and £580 for PA & K Barnes, Drayton Bassett.
A Border Leicester realsied £600 for Paul Johnson, Bignall End and a Dutch Spotted Shearling to £600. Blue Faced Leicesters to £580 for P H Williams, Tean and £580 for a Charollais x Texel from Stuart Talbot, Gratwich. A Blue Texel shearling at £520 for D S Sault, Yoxall.
Numerous shearling rams £450 – £580.
Ram Lambs sold to £450 for Charollais Ram Lambs from G Biddulph, Gawsworth who sold others at £420 twice, £400, £380 & £350. A Charollais at £400 for Madders & Johnson who also sold another for £360. Suffolk Ram Lambs to £350 for S & G Mellor, Cellarhead and Texels to £300 twice.
Aged Rams sold up to £500 for a Dutch Spotted 2-shear ram from M Kilroe, Alderley Edge, with a 2-shear Texel ram to £380 for P Storer, Reapsmoor and £360 for a 3-shear Texel ram from R Simpson & Son, Longnor. A Rouge x Charollais 2-shear ram sold for £260 for K Sessions, Alkmonton.
MV ACCREDITED FEMALES;
A small entry sold up to £200 for Texel Shearlings from Ben Ditchfield, Calwich and sold others at £190, £160 & £150. Martin & Charlotte Hall made £190 for a Texel x Charollais ewe with similar to £180 x4. Texel x Border Leicester ewe lamb sold well for £180 for Kirkham & Bourne. Two pairs of Millenium Bleu shearling ewes to £190 and £160 from P Nadin, Meerbrook.
