EWES WITH LAMBS AT FOOT (451);
A good entry of ewes and lambs forward, seeing an improved trade no doubt due to the rain and resulting grass growth.
Trade was very hot for hoggs and lambs but to be fair, some excellent outfits forward. Best on offer to £225 for continental hoggs with singles from Jane Bonsall who’s 60 ‘life’s’ averaged £110/head. Plenty of hoggs with singles at £100/life and above, with doubles to £230.
Older ewes saw a brisk trade for the best, topping at £240 for 3-crop Mules with doubles from Norman Belfield.
Hard worked Mules with doubles generally £50 -£55/life making their money but nobody fighting for them.
More quality outfits could be sold in a fortnight to the vendors advantage so please get them entered!
