Spring Lambs are increasing in numbers seeing a solid trade throughout, topping at 510p/kg, best Hoggs up to 411p/kg and Ewes to £234.
Plenty of buyers gathered in the calf ring with all types selling particularly well seeing a British Blue bull topping at £455 and £315 for a Limousin heifer.
A similar entry of pigs to last week with a small dip in trade inline with the national trend. Top price of the day was 205p/kg.
The Barrens saw a slight increase in numbers with the top price being 196p/kg for a Holstein.
Some good quality on offer in the dairies, seeing a top price of £2020 for a Friesian Heifer.

A similar entry of cows with a very similar trade to last week.
Top price of the day was 196p/kg for a 685kg Holstein cow from WE Turnock & Sons with a 795kg Holstein from Robinson Partners of Rudyard at 183p/kg.
Norwegian Red cows from GW Brassington of Kingsley Moor at 750kg achieved 177p/kg with the same vendor having a Shorthorn cow, also selling for 177p/kg at 320kg.
GG Hall & Son of Croxden, also had a Shorthorn at 590kg to 177p/kg with a 755kg Aberdeen Angus for JDB Farming of Stanley selling for 175p/kg.
Top headage price of the day was £1485 for the Aberdeen Angus cow with others £1454.85, £1427.85 and £1427.60.
CLEAN CATTLE
Only a small entry with a 610kg Blonde steer fro BE Wain of Congleton which was well sold at 302p/kg to gross at £1842.20 with a 570kg Limousin steer for Gavin Peach at 216p/kg.

A similar entry to last week in terms of numbers, trade back on the week as reported in other outlets. Best pigs 200p+, Gilts 190-200p, Boars 180-190p. Top price on the day 205p for fat pigs.
Porkers sold to 175p for the Godber family, Belper.
Cutters sold to 204p from J&B Fentem, others from the same home to 197p, 196p, 194p. JG Belfield sold to 190p. PF&PD Parsons sold to 194p.
Bacon pigs sold to 205p x4 from Massie Farms and PF&PD Parsons who had others to 204p, 202p. JG Belfield to 200p x2.
Heavies more difficult to place, topping at 130p from JG Belfield.

A small entry but a good trade and customers for all types.
Generally, the cattle were milkier and better of body and the trade reflected the quality on offer with the average of £200 per head up on recent weeks.
A feature of the sale was the Friesian type and stamp with the Gregorys and Ryders leading the way.
Top call £2020 for a Friesian Heifer from the Gregory’s at Drointon by Whinnow Website, she sold, yielding 28kg to Ed Brassington at Greenhead. Steve Ryder presented a smart second calver giving 30kg to top the cows at £2000 to the Hawkins at Cheadle.
Framey Holstein heifers regularly mid teens to over £1800.
A pedigree in-calf Holstein heifer, due July/August, to Aberdeen Angus to £1520.
