Trade not as hot in the Barren shed but still a good company of buyers to which more could be sold weekly.
Top price of the day was a Fleckvieh cow weighing 570kg, selling to 300p/kg to a gross of £1710 for TC Sykes, Macclesfield.
Top headage price of the day was £2125 for an 850kg Holstein, selling to 250p/kg from K & A Smith, Ammerton.

Another good show of pigs this week with 121 sold. Prices a touch dearer than last week. Fats to 220p for B Vernon, Marston.
Porkers well sold today again a 205p/kg for J&B Fentem who had others to 199p/kg and 164p/kg.
Cutters sold today again a 220p for B Vernon, PF+PD Parsons to 205p x2, C Hine to 201p.
Bacon pigs sold to 216p/kg for Massie Farms, who had others to 215p/kg x2, 214p/kg, 212p/kg x2, 211p/kg. S Bailey to 210p/kg. PF+PD Parsons to 208p/kg.

A very hot trade for cows on Tuesday saw the best to £3500 and 5 passing the £3000 mark.
Topping the day at £3500 was an impressive heifer from the Broomhouse herd of Messrs Easom. They also had a further two at £3350 and £3020 respectively.
The Brown family of Admaston saw their second calver reach £3100.
A very sweet in calf heifer from Edward and Diane Bennett reached £3020, they also had a second to £2620.
The whole entry averaged a superb £2560.
An excellent entry forward for next week’s pedigree sale includes milkers, in – calf heifers, youngstock and an Aberdeen Angus stock bull. Catalogues will be online shortly.
