LAMBS (584)

A steady increase in numbers forward but a real lack of meat in the lambs available.

Grass is short but an investment in corn is a wise one, heavier well-meated lambs are attracting a real premium and light lean lambs continue to be hard to sell.

Lightweight lambs hard to place and the very light and lean sorts below 300p/kg.

Overall average at 338p/kg or £143/head.
