Just short of 1,000 head of sheep on offer again today with Hoggs topping at 392p/kg, Spring Lambs up to 388p/kg and Ewes to £291/head.
The Barrens sold well to 287p/kg to a top of £2181.20 with clean cattle to 316p/kg to gross at £1817.
Smaller numbers in the dairies seeing a top of £2050 for a Pedigree heifer.
Pigs up to 202p/kg for fats and 91p for sows.

Plenty of trade in the barrens again today, seeing a Holstein cow, weighing 760kg, top the day at 287p/kg for WE Turnock & Sons of Onecote, to gross £2181.20.
A 605kg Friesian was close behinds at 286p/kg for JAS Agricultural UK Ltd, to gross £1730.30.
Two Herefords, from SA Garlick Ltd of Knotbury, reached 269p/kg and 356p/kg, weighing 710kg and 650kg to gross £1909.90 and £1664.

Generally, the older and more Friesian types very well bid for and several men leaving empty handed.
Richard Kennerley topped the newly calved cows at £1800 for a 5th calved British Friesian, calved 11th April.
Half bred fresh Jersey cross cows to £1300.
Andrew Broadley at Newhaven topped the day at £2050 with his Brundcliffe Pedigree heifer, sold giving 30kg.

A modest entry saw a slow enquiry, with buyers not able to switch over and a lot of old season lambs still coming forward.

A good entry sold on a slower trade than last week but still comparing well to other outlets.
Best on offer selling to 392p/kg and plenty at 360p plus. Leaner sorts harder to place and plenty at 280p – 300p.
Heavy types seeing good demand for the best, up to 381p for heavies and 346p for overweights. Top headage of £196.08, run of the mill 50kg plus, trading 260p – 290p depending on breed, finish and size.
Overall average at 302p overall 318p SQQ. £143/head.
