Breeding pigs;
No breeders today, in-piggers and sows with litters in demand please give me a call if you have any.
Fat Pigs (9) Average £63.89
Just a handful on offer with, leaner feeding types topping at £75 for 68kg pigs and £50 for 54kg Gloucester X.
Store pigs;
No Store pigs to offer. Many more required with buyers going home empty handed.
Weaners (131) Average £44.10
What a trade. The best show of weaners for a long time with the majority white weaners. Very much lighter types on offer around the 20kg mark but a serious trade for them.
Top Price £65/head for 29kg weaners from S Proctor, Longnor, 22kg weaners from the same realised £49/head.
R Watson, Fenny Bentley, had 21kg and 22kg pigs to £61/head and £59/head for 21kg pigs with 14kg pigs to £40/head.
A Lockett had 20kg pigs to £48/head and others to £36/head.
