Breeding Pigs (17)
A Strong entry of Breeding pigs today with a wide variety on offer.
A Saddleback sow with 8 at foot sold for £180 from S Bower, Twemlow.
A pair of welsh sows from C Lyon, Peak Forrest achieved £120/head and £95/head, respectively.
A Pair of breeding Gilts from Mollatt Partnership, Uttoxeter achieved £120/head each.
Cutting Pigs (4)
A pen of 4 cutting pigs achieved £80/head from I G Foster, Burton-on-Trent.
Store Pigs (24)
A little less Store pigs than previous weeks non the less in good demand and strong trade throughout averaging £42.71/head.
Top prices included a pen of 8 at 60kg per head achieving £54/head from I G Foster, Burton-on-Trent.
A pen of 5 stores at 51.5 kg a head achieved £48/head from P J Barker, Loughborough.
Weaners (43)
A good show of weaners forwards this week averaging £30.60/head.
Top prices included £42/head for a pen of 13 at 20.50kg per head from B Frodsham, Basford.
A pen of 11 at 20kg per head from R Watson, Fenny Bentley achieved £32/head.
